Reducing Stress and Calming the Mind | Meditation Course

Wednesday, September 6 - October 18, 2017
Gaden Samten Ling - Alberta Centre for Peace & Meditation, 11403 - 101 Street NW, Edmonton
7:00 - 8:30 PM

Meditation has a wonderful calming effect on the mind. It can decrease stress, help calm emotions, and focus the mind. Through these effects, the mind becomes clear and it can be easier to concentrate and focus on the task at hand. This quality of mind is very helpful whether you are at work, at home with your family, or on a meditation retreat. The key to developing this state of mind is to cultivate a daily practice of single-pointed focus on a simple object such as the breath. Join this class to learn from Kushok how to develop a regular and stable meditation practice. Throughout the 7 weeks you will experience for yourself the effects of meditation, be able to ask questions to enhance your practice, and develop a habit of daily meditation that will support you for the rest of your life.

Anyone with an interest in meditation is welcome to attend this course. No prior meditation experience required. All faiths welcome.
