Engaging Wisdom and Compassion / Public Talk2 day gathering in Ann Arbor

His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama will visit Ann Arbor where over the course of three sequential sessions in two days he will teach on “Engaging Wisdom and Compassion” at the Crisler Arena of the University of Michigan. The teaching will be based on Nagarjuna's Commentary on Ultimate Compassion and Je Tsong Khapa's In Praise of Dependent Origination.

He will also give the Peter M. Wege Lecture on Sustainability, on environmental issues presented by the University of Michigan at the Crisler Arena in celebration of Earth Day.

Teachings on the Great Treatise / Public Talk6 day gathering in Bethlehem

His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama will give an historic six-day teaching on The Great Treatise on the Stages of the Path to Enlightenment (Lam Rim Chen Mo), Tsong-kha-pa's masterpiece on the stages of spiritual evolution. It will be the most extensive teaching of this text that His Holiness has presented in North America.

In the afternoon of Sunday, July 13, 2008, Lehigh University will sponsor His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama's public talk entitled, "Generating a Good Heart."

The four days of teaching to be conferred by His Holiness are on: Shantideva's Guide to a Bodhisattva's Way of Life (Cho-jug) and Kamalashila's Middle Stages of Meditation (Gomrim Barpa).

In the afternoon of July 19, 2008, His Holiness will be delivering a public talk.
